After one and a half years of comedic silence, Dan Attamante finally returns to the big stage TONIGHT at 9 p.m.!

The New Jersey Comedy Festival is hosting a night of stand up tonight in the Student Center pit featuring many returning and new comedians.

The event is FREE, but for those with scheduling conflicts, Rowan Television Network has opted to film and stream the festival here so don’t miss out:

One week ago Michael Larsen passed away. I’d say he was better known to most as Eyedea but save for a few of you, I don’t think that would help much either. He was an underground rapper who I often overlooked despite his affiliation with Rhymesayers and constant promotion through Strange Famous Records. If one good thing came out of his passing it would be that I just now checked him out and now know I’ve missed out.

I know this isn’t of the same caliber as most of my other posts but I was reading through some of his lyrics and thought this line was unusually creepy ::

TOUR RECAP & A NEW PLESSY TRACK

After last year’s attempt at a Plesiosaurs tour (down to D.C.), this summer’s ‘Take Two Tour’ up north exceeded all our expectations (south = *thumbs* down, north = *thumbs* up). Nine days, seven shows, starting in New Jersey and ending in Brooklyn. *Dates Below*

August 13 – Grow That Beard Fest, Isla Nublar, Piscataway, NJ

August 14 – Café Napoli, Watertown, CT

August 15 – Black Lodge, Kingston, PA

August 16 – Day Off in Portland, ME

August 17 – Slainte Wine Bar, Portland, ME

August 18 – Day off in Boston, MA

August 19 – All Asia, Cambridge, MA

August 20 – Pleasant Inn, Saint James, NY

August 21 – Goodbye-Blue-Monday, Brooklyn, NY

The pinnacle of the tour would probably be yours truly reaching the top 8% of sudoku players of the day amongst over 14,000 players. Besides that we saw our buds in The Okay Win and found parking during a Sox game in Massachusetts, visited Babeland, Maine and saw babes and actually saw some serious lovin in Long Island. 

Now that the appetizer is done it’s time for the main course, a NEW PLESSY TRACK (*kindof*). I wrote this and would have performed it at Grow That Beard Fest to kick everything off but it wasn’t ready. Now it is.

this summer we’re going north, just feels kinda right
